Charming Saturday 2010
ATTENTION: ALL QUILTERS WHO HAVE NO TIME TO QUILT
We will be offering, every other month, the "Charming Saturday" class again in 2010. We have been doing this for 3 or 4 years now and have a nucleus group who would love to have more quilters "who never have time to quilt." We use 5" charm squares and this coming year we will be using the new book by Moose on the Porch Quilts called "Simply Charming Seasonal". If you will check through this book (Mary Kay has it in the shop) you can compare our meeting dates with the projects that we will be working on. You need to bring your sewing machine and supplies!

I searched had to find a new BOM to keep everyone interested and I found it! This pattern is designed by Wing and a Prayer and is BEAUTIFUL! The fabrics from Timeless Treasure are stunning and must be seen. We meet on the second Wednesday of each month. Join us at 10:00am or 5:45pm.
Barn Chix
Above are the 2008 challenge quilts which were hung outside the shop on Saturday, August 2.
We all made the same pattern with each member choosing fabrics of their choice. We asked our customers that day to vote for their favorite. Each member of the club put in $5.00 which would go to the winner. The second quilt from the right side was the winner. The winner also holds the title of Queen Chick!
This group is open to anyone who enjoys doing Buggy Barn or Pieces from my Heart patterns.
We meet bi-monthly and enjoy great fellowship, discussions of the stack and shuffle method of quilting, and challenge ourselves to a new project. Of course fun is what we are all about.
Next event will be the 2010 challenge quilts! They will hang outside the shop on Saturday, Aug.7. Please stop by to vote for your favorite.
Kansas Troubles Quarterly
If you love the folksy colors offered by Lynne Hagmeier, then this one's for you. This club will remain meeting four times a year and we will attempt to schedule our gathering according to when the new lines of fabric arrive. The newest line is due to arrive in February 2010.
This year we will be doing a special demo at each gathering along with door prizes, show and tell, dessert, and fellowship! Those in attendance receive an exclusive pattern from KT along with one yard of fabric for $12.50. Kansas Troubles fabrics will be15% off (this evening only). Plan your new projects now and if interested please call the store to put your name on our list so we know how many to prepare for.
